The Leica Geosystems DS2000 ground-penetrating radar system is ideal for buried utility detection and shallow sub-surface geophysics.
It sports two separate transmitting antennas, which operate at 250MHz and 700MHz. This provides an excellent balance between high-resolution at the shallower depths, and signal penetration at the deeper depths.
The system is capable of logging NMEA and pseudo-NMEA data (i.e. positioning data from GPS/GNSS receivers and robotic total stations), making it very easy to collect data.
The system’s potential is maximised when used in conjunction with GPR-SLICE software for data processing and interpretation.
